Our Kimberley Expeditions departure from either Broome in Western Australia or Darwin in the Northern Territory. Depending on your departure, you’ll start in one city and end in the other.
Getting to and from Broome
Flights to and from Broome are available on Qantas and V Australia as well as other regional airlines. We recommend booking your flights early as flights tend to fill up quickly.
Broome Airport is located a short distance from the centre of Broome, which can be reached in approximately five minutes by taxi or transfer. Paid luggage storage is available in the airport terminal if required.
Coral Expeditions I departs from Broome Deepwater Port, which is a short distance from town. Please note that if you are taking a taxi to the wharf, some taxis may not have permission to enter and drop off within the port precinct. Aurora Expeditions does provide a convenient embarkation option which includes a hotel pick-up, town tour and drop-off at the wharf. Contact us for details.
Getting to and from Darwin
Most of Australia’s domestic airlines fly between Darwin and Australia’s other capital cities, with flights also available from and to South-East Asia.
Darwin Airport is located about 15 kilometres from the city centre and is easily accessible by taxi or transfer services.
In Darwin, Coral Expeditions I departs from Fort Hill Wharf. Aurora Expeditions offer a pre-paid transfer on the day of departure, or taxis are also readily available.
