Carmen’s interest in travel was sparked at a very young age by her father who would take her to the airport on weekends to watch planes take off and land. She spent hours dreaming of all the places those planes could take her. This passion for plane spotting continued until her early twenties, when she finally embarked on her own journeys.
A true adventurer at heart, Carmen has explored over 40 countries spanning all seven continents! A few of her favourite destinations include Antarctica, the Galápagos Islands, Patagonia, Australia, and New Zealand. She’s worked in the travel industry for over two decades, spending the last several years in the exciting world of expedition travel.
When she’s not travelling (or planning her next trip) – she loves staying active by running, swimming, and walking. She’s climbed all 1776 steps (144 flights) of Toronto’s CN Tower in support of wildlife charities. She loves to bake and spend time with her family.
