Nepal Trekking Expeditions
Everyone knows Nepal for one thing - Mt Everest. However, with eight of the top ten highest summits in the world and a landscape that's dotted with unique cultural and natural details, there's a lot more to Nepal than the one famous peak.
To see the best of Nepal (given much of it is only accessible by foot), a trekking adventure with Aurora Expeditions is recommended. Nepal is known as "the roof of the world" and you’ll see why when you arrive. Mountains dominate the landscape, encapsulating villages and teahouses you'll stop at along the way.
The Nepalese are among the friendliest in the world, keen to share experiences, stories and often their home to visitors. This is something many people take away with them from Nepal - a great respect of the culture, friendliness and aura of the locals.
On the numerous Nepalese treks, you will visit old Sherpa villages and the colourful high-altitude town of Namche Bazaar. Take a scenic helicopter flight to get an exclusive view of the Himalayan Mountains and even take a special flight to the famous Everest Base Camp. Nepal might be small, but its landscape is anything but!
On all our treks and expeditions, safety is the most important aspect and there are no exceptions. All our Nepal Treks:
- Undertake a clear risk assessment and are escorted by qualified guides and Sherpas;
- Are planned and managed to allow gradual ascents and descents; and
- Travel in small groups, therefore allowing our guides to pay closer attention to each individual trekker’s needs.
In addition, all trekkers must complete a medical form to demonstrate that they are fit and able to undertake the treks.
Please note that our Annapurna Base Camp Trek takes place on a different set of mountains and currently does not receive the same volume as Everest and our Classic Everest Trek does not climb Mt. Everest itself. Rather, it provides spectacular panoramic views from Kongde and offers an optional helicopter Everest Camp fly-over trip.
