Day 1 – Arrival into Bergen
Make your own way to Bergen and enjoy the remainder of the day at your own leisure. You will attend a welcome meeting in the evening with your tour guide. You have the option to experience an evening ride on the Fløibanen funicular to the top of the surrounding mountains for breathtaking vistas! (surcharge applies)
Day 2 – Bergen & Hardangerfjord
This morning you will enjoy a two-hour tour of Bergen and visit the fish market and the historical area of Bryggen, before heading out to the beautiful Hardangerfjord.
Day 3 – Norheimsund & Flåm
Continue on to Stalheimen via Voss which is located on the very top of Nærøydalen Canyon, offering panoramic views over the valley. We’ll drive across to the quaint village of Flåm where you will embark on a cruise to Gudvangen. Later you will continue on to Vangsnes and cross Sognefojord, Norway’s longest and deepest fjord, before reaching Balestrand.
Day 4 – Balestrand & Nigarsbreen Glacier
Today you wil trave via ferry across Fjærlandfjord and reach Jostedal and the Breheimsenteret Glacier Centre. Jostedal Glacier is known as the largest glacier on European mainland and is listed a national park. Opt for a cruise across the small lake that is located in front of the glacier, or enjoy a 30 to 40-minute walk and get close to the glacier. Lunch and entrance fees are included.
Day 5 – Balestrand & Flåm
Enjoy a mid-morning journey across the Sognefjord and reach Flåm, before starting a breathtaking rail adventure on board the Flåm Railway. Enjoy some panoramic views of the Norwegian fjord landscape. The Flåm Railways is known as one of the steepest train lines in the world. You will arrive into the mountain station of Myrdal, where you will change trains and board a second train to Oslo, Norway’s capital city.
Day 6 – Oslo
Today you will enjoy a three-hour tour of Oslo: visit the Vigeland Park featuring more than 200 sculptures, head to the Holmenkollen ski jump for stunning views over the city, and walk over to the Opera House. Enjoy time at leisure in the afternoon and explore Oslo at your own pace. Board the local ferries to the Bygdøy Peninsula or visit one of the city’s many museums.
Day 7 – Oslo, departure
Your tour finishes today. Continue onto your own travel arrangements.
