Christian is an Ornithologist, Naturalist and Illustrator who has specialised in Antarctic tourism for 17 years. Realising his passion for birding as a child, he was inspired to study Natural Sciences and travel extensively in South America, Western Europe and southern and western Africa in search of unique species. In 1998, he started sailing to the far south on research vessels, and is proud to have sighted rarities including albatrosses and petrels – new for Argentina and the Southwest Atlantic. This is just one of the reasons he is considered Argentina’s “pelagic birds guru”. Christian is passionate about working with NGOs such as the Wildlife Conservation Society and Birdlife in the Important Bird Areas, Red Data Book, Seabird Conservation programs and the ACAP.
