Ayla Rowe

Growing up with Sydney’s bushland on her doorstep, Ayla always felt most at home surrounded by nature. This has driven her love for outdoor adventures including rock climbing, hiking and running. She trades the city life for outdoor adventures on weekends. Ayla enjoys testing her limits and throwing herself out of her comfort zone, whether it be an epic multi-pitch climb in the Blue Mountains, snow camping at Kosciuszko National Park, or embarking on a multi-day hiking trip in Tasmania.

Ayla caught the adventure travel bug at the age of 16 when she joined a school trip hiking the Great Wall of China for five days in the snow! While she hasn’t ticked off the polar regions yet, travel highlights including trekking to Everest Base Camp, a month-long overland trip in India, coming face-to-face with the gorillas in Rwanda and spending three months living and volunteering in Ghana. She also hiked many of Australia’s iconic walks including the Larapinta Trail and the Overland Track.

When she’s not exploring Ayla loves spending time at the ocean, walking her dogs, yoga, brunching with friends, baking and she’s recently started sewing clothes (yes, it’s not all action!)

Ayla’s thrilled to be able to combine her love for travel with marketing – and has worked in tourism marketing for seven years across both the expedition and cruise industry. She’s passionate about responsible tourism and how tourism can have a positive impact on local communities. She loves inspiring others to get outdoors, challenge themselves and try new things!
