Our Antarctic Daily Excursions

No matter what the day brings, we make the most of each and every one!

Each day in Antarctica offers something exciting and unique. We aim for two to three landings a day, hopping into Zodiacs for landings or an iceberg cruise. While ashore we make the most of our time visiting colonies of penguins and seals haul-outs, hiking up slopes for spectacular vistas, discovering the age of explorer’s past in historic huts, and learning from researchers in the continent’s scientific bases. In Zodiacs we explore the spectacular glacial coastline, enjoy sculpted icebergs, and thrill to unexpected encounters with leopard seals and whales.

On board our small expedition ships, we have the freedom to go ashore at once. There are no schedules and no long queues, which means that you get out faster and have the opportunity to stay out longer - making the most of your time in Antarctica.

All of our daily shore excursions are included in your expedition cost. Read on to find out more about our daily shore excursions in Antarctica.

We don't usually go on organised tours. Of course Antarctica had to be an exception. I am glad we chose Aurora, everything was great.

The breadth of knowledge of the whole team was fantastic. And the love and enthusiasm they had for Antarctica and South Georgia was so obvious.
