‘Trip of the Year’ award for Aurora
Outside magazine scoured the globe looking for the year’s most groundbreaking and innovative adventure trips to exotic destinations and chose Aurora’s Antarctic Peninsula for Climbers & Photographers as the winner. There are still a number of berths left on this years voyage.
Aurora pioneered ship-based climbing expeditions to Antarctica on board their 56 passenger ice-strengthened vessel Polar Pioneer. Their expert guides provide climbers of all levels with unique challenges, with the Antarctic Peninsula offering hundreds of unclimbed peaks and even the chance to climb grounded icebergs.
For photographers, the expedition offers the rich diversity of wildlife, such as penguins and whales, at a more leisurely pace to provide time to frame the perfect shot and learn new skills from the ships resident expert.
This 12-day expedition departs from Ushuaia in Argentina on the 8th December 2006. Prices start from US$5,190pp triple-share.
