Extensions - Iguazu Falls: The Spectacular Natural Wonder

In the northeast of Argentina, the Iguazu River joins the Parana River to create a natural border with Brazil and Paraguay. It is here that the most spectacular waterfalls in the world, the ‘Cataratas del Iguazu’ plunge into a gorge of over 275 falls along 3kms with an average height of 70 metres. Higher than Niagara Falls and wider than Victoria Falls, Iguazu are more beautiful than any photograph can capture. The majority of the falls lie in the Argentinian side, giving you the best perspective, whilst the Brazilian side offers grand panoramic views. (Note: A Brazilian visa is required to travel to the Brazilian side of the falls for Australian passport holders. Please check with your local consulate for other nationalities). 

Day 1

This morning you will be met at your hotel in Buenos Aires and transferred to the domestic airport. On arrival at Iguazu you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
The rest of your day will be spent at leisure.

Please note: additional fees apply if being transferred to/from international airport in Buenos Aires.

Day 2

You will be met at your hotel this morning and taken on a half day tour visiting the Argentinean side of the Falls.

The Argentinean side provides an intimate touch with the falls. Many walking trails throughout the reserve allow for a close encounter with the rich flora, numerous amount of beautiful birds and butterflies (over 500 types in the area), other animals and the Falls themselves.

Day 3

This morning enjoy a half day tour of the Brazilian side of the Falls. Soak up the panoramic view of this magnificent natural wonder. Following your tour you will be transferred to the airport for your afternoon flight. (we recommend flights after 15:30)
Please note: Brazilian visa is required for visits to the Brazilian side of the Falls.
