Classic Everest - Diamond Jubilee Trek Dates & Rates

Hillary & Norgay Tenzing
Tenzing Asian Holidays are pleased to offer you an opportunity to experience an exclusive trek around the Trans Himalayan Range at Khumbu in Nepal. Developed by one of Aurora’s legendary climbing guides, Tashi Tenzing, the treks take a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 15.

Rhododendron and pine-scented forests open to reveal a wilderness of rock and ice. Prayer flags flutter above rooftops in Sherpa villages, and gold-tipped stupas decorate ancient monasteries, dwarfed by the highest and most sacred mountains on Earth. Aurora Expeditions and Tenzing Asian Holidays are delighted to invite you on an exclusive trek through the heart of the Everest region – The Yeti Trail.

Developed by Tashi Tenzing, our adventure takes us deep into the valley where, according to Himalayan myth, the Yeti once roamed. Trekking, or simply enjoying local culture by day and luxuriating in comfortable lodges by night, our schedule allows us time to acclimatise in Phakding, Namche, Thame and Kongde.

Whether nestled amidst the Khumbu’s trading centre on the banks of the Dudh Kosi River, or high above the timberline surrounded by ice-clad Himalayan giants, each lodge has been built according to strict environmental guidelines. Our deluxe rooms have their own bathrooms with hot and cold running water. Restaurants cater to a variety of tastes in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The Classic Everest Trek follows the Yeti trail staying in lodges located in Lukla, Phakding, Namche, Thame and Kongde, in the heart of the Everest region. The lodge sites have been chosen to ensure limited environmental impact but providing the best opportunity to enjoy thebreathtaking views. Considering the remote location, accommodation is of an exceptionally high standard, with comfortable rooms decorated in a traditional style, all amenities and wonderful homegrown menus to suit all palates. The lodges are a welcome retreat after a day’s exploration. This program is designed to accommodate trekkers who prefer to enjoy some creature comforts whilst trekking in the hidden foot prints of Yeti.

According to the Himalayan myth, this part of the Everest region – Mainly the valley of Thame - used to be the home of Yetis.
