The Alaskan Experience

Join our expedition cruise through Alaska’s Inside Passage and experience the temperate rainforest, wildlife-rich fjords and spectacular scenery of Southeast Alaska.

From our floating basecamp, Wilderness Adventurer, our Alaska cruise explores some of North America’s greatest wilderness areas: Tongass National Forest, home to wolves, bear and deer; Tracy Arm, where the twin Dawes Glaciers calve picturesque icebergs; Stephen’s Passage and Frederick Sound, renowned for Steller’s sea lion colonies and waters patrolled by orcas, otters and porpoise. In Misty Fjord National Monument, 'the Yosemite of the North', we see many of the 100 bird species that migrate here each year and nesting bald eagles throughout.

Our Alaska expedition also follows in the wake of Tlingit and Haida people, who’ve relied on the protected Inside Passage for trade and travel over thousands of years. Native islanders share their stories and culture, and showcase their art of carving and restoring totems; an important tradition passed on for centenaries.

Our 60-passenger Wilderness Adventurer is the perfect vessel to navigate the wildlife-rich fjords and spectacular scenery of Alaska’s Inside Passage. Its small size and shallow beam make it an exceptional floating base for exploration, and allows us to explore regions of Alaska's Inside Passage unreachable by most other vessels.

Alaska’s majestic forests that are home to an array of amazing wildlife including black and brown bears, wolves, moose, mink, otters, eagles, and sea birds. The Alaskan waters boast the northern hemisphere’s largest concentration of humpback whales, as well as home to orca, seals, Steller sea lions, salmon and porpoise.

Watch for wildlife on the outer decks, or enjoy the scenery up close as we Zodiac cruise Alaska’s secluded bays. Guided lush forest treks and longer hikes provide fantastic viewing opportunities, as well as the chance to visit rarely visited glacial lakes. You’ll even get a chance to witness the magical sights and sounds of the sea life below with our on board hydrophone.
